Assisted shipment
Introduction
Assisted shipping is an operating mode offered by Logivery that allows users to generate shipments from orders, following a guided flow.
By accessing the Assisted Shipping section , you can create Events , each of which allows you to associate specific activities to be performed in response to the related event. Events act as identifiers that can be recalled during the order management phase, when creating an assisted shipment.
Assisted shipments can be generated according to two operating modes:
- Shipment without specified event
The system uses the first available event in the list of assisted shipments and, based on the configured filters, proceeds to create the shipment. - Shipment with a Specified Event
The user selects one or more events. When generating the shipment, the system uses only the specified event , following the associated activities and logic.
In the example, events have been created to handle:
Warehouse Selection: 📄 Warehouse Assignment
Courier Choice: 📄 Shipping Service Assignment
Packaging selection: 📄 Packaging assignment
Examples of events
In the first example relating to assisted shipping , a configuration is shown in which:
- All orders not destined for France are automatically assigned to the Italian warehouse using the destination filters available in the assisted shipping events section.
The system applies the set criteria for:
- Exclude direct orders to France
- Select only those with a different destination
- Send them to the management flow connected to the Italian warehouse
This type of logic allows you to manage shipments differently based on the country, optimizing distribution and logistics organization.
In the second example, a configuration is illustrated in which:
- All orders to Italy are handled by assigning them to the cheapest courier available.
This scenario is configured:
- Within an assisted shipping event
- By using the geographic destination filters (selecting “Italy”)
- By activating the function that allows the system to automatically evaluate the courier with the lowest cost , based on the loaded rates and the shipping parameters
In the third and final example , an operating configuration is described in which:
- Orders weighing 3 kg or more must be packaged using the "parcel" format
This logic is implemented through:
- A dedicated assisted shipping event
- Using shipping weight filters
- Assigning the packaging type “parcel” as an associated condition
Result:
- Each order that meets the weight criterion activates the specified packaging
- The operator or automated system selects “package” as the suitable package
- Consistency is ensured in the preparation of larger or heavier shipments
