Type of packaging

1. Once you enter the Pre- shipment creation page , click on Add Event before creating shipment to create the event 

 and then click Save and Close  to complete

2. Rename the event to Packaging Choice in the appropriate tab.

4. Click on Task  

and select the Assign packaging type option

5. In this section we also have a selection of filters to choose different packaging or a predefined packaging.

6. To choose the type, click on the drop-down menu to view the options:

  • Inherit Configuration
  • Container type defined by settings - This is the default chosen in the Team profile.
  • Selected container type: you can choose from the various packages created previously.
  • Self box for single item or selected for multi: create a package equal to the size of the product or choose which type of packaging for multiple packages. 
  • Self pallet for single or selected for multi: create a pallet equal to the dimensions of the product or choose which type of pallet to use for multiple packages.

These choices are made before generating the shipment and can be used in subsequent stages by inheriting the choices configured in these fields.

7. Click the Save and Close button   to complete the setup.
